

NEMO (BEGINNERS) GROUP
This group is especially for those toddlers who are yet to gain enough height to reach the pool floor, or for those children who are scared of the water and/or cannot perform the basic tasks like floating, putting their face in the water, blowing bubbles,
etc. Swimmers in this group will gradually be (through play) introduced to the water (if necessary with the aid of special swimming equipments) under very close attention of our experienced instructors. Although they will be
given instructions, they will have ample time to play games and swim by themselves since our main aim for this group is that they enjoy the water and learn to be able to grasp instructions and be comfortable in the water until
they are ready for our Beginners Level 1 groups (Ducklings group).
Swimmers in the Nemo group will learn:
- Introduction to water (water familiarization)
- Enter and exit the water using the sides of the pool
- Developing confidence in water
- Introduction to basic water skills
- Submerge mouth and nose underwater with eyes open
- Breath control underwater
- Exhale underwater (blow bubbles)
- Keep eyes open underwater and pick up objects at arm's length
- Movement in water (arms)
- Floating/Gliding/Kicking
- Recover from floating to standing position comfortably
- Basic Freestyle & Backstroke

Level 1 -- DUCKLINGS GROUP
- Developing confidence in water
- Introduction to basic water and safety skills
- Movement in water (arms)
- Floating/Gliding/Kicking
- Recover from floating to standing position
- Introduction to swim strokes with the aid of kickboard
- Introducing and developing strokes and skills with the aid of kickboard
- Learn Basic Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke and Dolphin kick
- Swim length of pool demonstrating above strokes

LEVEL 2 -- STARFISH GROUP
- Developing strokes and skills with/without the aid of kickboard
- Devlop Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly
- Swim length of pool demonstrating above strokes
- Introduction to tumble turns
- Introduction to Diving
- Water safety and life saving skills

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL -- PENGUINS GROUP
- Developing strokes and skills (with & without kickboard)
- Practice & improve Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly.
- Swim length of pool demonstrating above strokes.
- Diving (including competitive diving)
- Competition rules, starts & turns (including tumble turns, underwater dolphin kicks ,etc)
- Water safety and life saving skills

ADVANCED LEVEL -- DOLPHINS GROUP
- Swim length of pool demonstrating all strokes
- Brush up strokes and speed
- Improve on Diving, Starts, turns, tumble turns, underwater Dolphin kicks, etc
- Polish water safety and life saving skills
- Build stamina and endurance
- Prepare for competitions

CLUB TRAINING
The Bluefins Club team training will involve those swimmers selected by our panel of coaches from different groups (Starfish, Penguins & Dolphins) who will be asked to join the trainings in order to be ready and be prepared for any competition that the Bluefins team will be participating in. This training will be focusing totally on improving the swimmers speed and building their stamina. Bluefins takes part in all swimming galas & competitions organized or recognized by the Tanzania Swimming Association (TSA), and this group of swimmers will be representing the club during various competitions. Being part of the Bluefins Club team should be the ultimate target for all swimmers aiming to be competitive swimmers.Representing Bluefins in the National Championships will also provide the swimmers with the opportunity of being selected for the Tanzania National Swim team and participate in international swimming events such as the Olympics, FINA World Championships, The Commonwealth games, CANA African Swimming Championships, etc.
